Italian Meatballs

Authentic Italian meatballs everyone will crave

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 pound ground veal
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons freshly chopped basil
  • 3 teaspoons freshly chopped parsley
  • 3 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 cup freshly fine-grated pecorino romano cheese
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup italian breadcrumps

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil, and lightly grease.
  2. In a large bowl, add meats, egg yolks, grated cheese and spices.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine breadcrumbs and milk and mix well. Add to meat mixture.
  4. Mix all ingredients until well incorporated.
  5. Using a #20 cookie scoop, place meatballs on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes flipping halfway through. Broil for 3-5 minutes, if desired. The meatballs should be around 150°F and can either be finished cooking in pasta sauce, or continue cooking in the oven to 160°F.
