Chocolate Chip Cookies

These cookies will have a slightly crisp edge with a soft and chewy center.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (227g) butter
  • 1 cup (198g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (213g) dark brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons (10mL) Woodford reserve double barrel bourbon
  • 3 cups (360g) flour
  • 1 teaspoon (6g) kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon (6g) baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3g) baking powder
  • 12oz (340g) chopped chocolate or chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Cream the butter and the sugars.
  2. Add the bourbon and eggs
  3. Slowly mix until incorporated
  4. Add flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder
  5. Mix until just combined
  6. Stir in chocolate
  7. Portion dough ino 3.5oz balls, and place in a sealed container to rest in fridge for at least an hour
  8. When ready, bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 19 minutes
  9. Let cookies rest on baking sheet for a few minutes and cool on a wire rack. Keep in an airtight container once cold.
